Will my Israeli citizenship protect me when travelling to third countries with an active Red Notice?

Israeli citizenship provides no protection outside Israel’s borders. If you travel to a country with an extradition treaty with Russia — such as Cyprus, Spain, or Germany — local authorities may arrest and detain you pending a Russian extradition request, regardless of your Israeli passport. UAE and other Gulf states present particular risks despite Abraham Accords normalisation, as they maintain cooperative relationships with Russian law enforcement. The only reliable protection is removing the Red Notice from Interpol’s database entirely before international travel.
