The Thai NCB, housed within the Royal Thai Police’s Foreign Affairs Division, serves as the liaison between Interpol and domestic law enforcement. It receives Red Notice alerts, disseminates them to immigration and police units, and coordinates with the requesting country on arrests. The NCB can also request additional information from Interpol or the requesting state before acting. In some cases, direct legal engagement with the NCB—presenting evidence of procedural defects or political motivation—can influence whether local enforcement proceeds aggressively or awaits further clarification from Lyon.
