The CCF does not operate a formal appeals process in the traditional sense. However, applicants may submit a request for reconsideration if new evidence emerges or if procedural errors affected the original decision. This is not a guaranteed right but is permitted under CCF practice where materially different information becomes available. Beyond the CCF, individuals may pursue remedies through national courts in France — where Interpol is headquartered — or through the European Court of Human Rights if Convention rights are engaged. These external avenues involve separate proceedings with distinct procedural requirements and significantly longer timeframes.
