Refugee status is a strong ground for deletion, but Interpol does not automatically monitor asylum decisions worldwide. The notice remains active until either you or your legal representatives formally notify the CCF and submit certified proof of your refugee status. Once documented, Interpol’s rules require deletion — recognised refugees are explicitly protected under Article 83 of the RPD. The process typically takes 2–4 months after submission of asylum documentation, faster than standard deletion requests, but proactive filing is essential because Interpol will not act on its own initiative.
