What is the forum bar and does it apply to US extradition?

The forum bar, introduced by the Crime and Courts Act 2013, allows UK courts to decline extradition where the majority of the alleged conduct occurred in the UK and it is in the interests of justice to try the case domestically. It is particularly relevant in financial crime and computer fraud cases where most of the accused's activity took place in the UK.
