What is the difference between a Silver Notice and a Red Notice?

A Red Notice is a request to locate and provisionally arrest a person wanted for prosecution or to serve a sentence. A Silver Notice is a request to locate and identify assets — property, bank accounts, and other financial holdings — connected to a person suspected of financial crime. Both are issued by Interpol and both are subject to CCF challenge, but they serve different purposes and have different legal consequences.
