What is a Preventive Request and should I file one?

A Preventive Request is a pre-emptive application to the CCF asking Interpol not to accept a Red Notice against you. It is available to people who have reason to believe a notice may be issued — for example, those under investigation in authoritarian states, opposition figures, or targets of politically motivated prosecutions. It is faster and more effective than challenging an existing notice and is the recommended option where time permits.
